A professor at Sahand University has been recognized as the country's top scientist in the industrial sector.

"Seyed Alireza Tabatabaei-Nejad," a faculty member at Sahand Industrial University, has been recognized as the country's top scientist in collaboration with the industrial sector.

On Sunday, in a ceremony honoring outstanding scientists for their contributions to society and industry, nine distinguished professors from across the country were acknowledged, including Dr. Tabatabaei-Nejad, who represents East Azerbaijan and specializes in petroleum engineering.

Dr. Tabatabaei-Nejad serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Petroleum and Gas Research Institute at Sahand Industrial University and has led both the development project for the Soroush oil field and studies on enhanced oil recovery for the Masjed Soleyman oil field.

Sahand Industrial University was established in 1990 following a resolution by the Higher Council for the Expansion of Higher Education. Over the past three decades, it has expanded significantly and now offers 2 associate degree programs, 21 undergraduate programs, 55 master's degree programs, and 60 doctoral degree programs.
